Lake Skadar is a vast freshwater lake straddling the borders of Montenegro and Albania and surrounded by dramatic karst mountains, Lake Skadar's mirrored waters, rocky shores and wetlands play host to a myriad of wildlife with more than 280 species of birds, traditional fishing villages, island monasteries and pristine beaches.

The village of Virpazar, where Villa Miela is located, is not just the gateway to this amazing National Park - it's also only 20 minutes drive from the Adriatic coast and 30 minutes from Podgorica, Montenegro's capital.
